Meet the team ….
FE Luxury Travel began in 2019 when our team at Football Escapes realised that many of their course participants were seeking help with accommodation suggestions, flight choices and local experiences. Our goal is to provide an effortless and inclusive holiday to families both surrounding the football courses and also to new destinations outside the Football Escapes portfolio.
Rio Ferdinand | Director
Rio joins us as one of our key partners after an incredible football career with England & Manchester United. Rio now coaches globally with Football Escapes, as well as enjoying his own family holidays. He has been lucky enough to travel around the world with football and has some great stories to share.
Favourite destination …. My favourite place has to be The Maldives. It’s an unbelievable place, where the kids get to feel like they’re having an adventure and us parents can just kick back and relax. You can’t beat those views… when you’re sitting there, drink in hand and watching the sunset from your villa, it’s like paradise.
Must have travel accessory…. Do not forget your earphones, those are absolutely imperative. Beats Headphones, wireless. They’re the ones. Bangers!
Next destination…. A bucket list trip…. If I’m honest, I would love to take my family on a safari. I’ve been on my own but not with the kids, so I probably didn’t enjoy it as much as I would have done if they had been there too. It’s one of those experiences you just want to share with your loved ones, so it’s definitely on the family bucket list!

Sales & Marketing Executive
Sally is a marketing graduate of Middle Tennessee State University in the United States. As well as obtaining her degree, she also captained the women’s football team. Her sporting career has allowed her to travel to a variety of destinations across the world. She has recently moved back to the UK and has joined the team as the sales and marketing executive and is excited to be apart of this new venture.
Favourite destination …. Nashville - live music all day every day, great sports teams and delicious food!
Must have travel item…. Headphones - a must for any flight or long journey!
Next adventure…. Somewhere I have always wanted to travel to is Australia and also New Zealand. Would love to to see the other side of the world...literally!
Bobby Zamora | Director
Bobby joins us as one of our key partners after a fantastic 17 year football career. Bobby now travels globally with Football Escapes, as well as enjoying his own family holidays. He also still takes time out for fishing including involvement in conservation programmes such as shark tagging in Florida.
Favourite destination …. Florida. For many reasons fishing and having fun with the kids at Disney and fantastic weather.
Must have travel item…. sunglasses Polarised one to look after your eyes. But also when fishing helps see into the water better by taking the glare off.
Next adventure…. Verbier ski for the first time, super excited but not looking forward to the bumps and bruises when learning to ski.
Sam Hubert | Managing Director
Sam travels globally with Football Escapes. His previous experience comes from working with many football clubs internationally. Over the last decade he has delivered international soccer camps for some of football's leading clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal and the New York Redbulls. Sam has skydived in Dubai, tobogganed down the Great Wall and is always up for a challenge whilst away.
Favourite destination …. The Maldives.. a dream destination and lots of activities including golf and watersports to try.
Must have travel item…. If you ask Bobby he would say ice cream.. I would probably say a football.. can't beat a little two touch on a beach somewhere!
Next adventure…. I've always wanted to visit Iceland! (not the supermarket) I would love to see the northern lights!
